About Us

HISTORY

In 1968, brothers William and Charles Cross founded what would become a cornerstone of the American construction industry: Cross Enterprises Concrete Pumping Equipment and Services. As the longest-operating concrete pumping company in Michigan, our roots run deep—and so does our impact.

The Cross brothers were more than entrepreneurs; they were innovators. Their collaboration with concrete equipment manufacturers helped shape the development of the most efficient and reliable pumping systems available today.

Cross Enterprises Concrete Pumping Equipment and Services was the first Schwing distributor in America. Schwing concrete pumps are the premier, state-of-the-art equipment in the industry, ensuring safe and reliable service for your project.

Expertise

All our equipment is operated by skilled members of the Local 324 Operating Engineers Union, ensuring professional standards and safety on every job. Our team includes the best pump operators in the industry, with an average tenure of 15 years, and our most experienced operator has been with us for over 34 years. There’s no concrete pumping challenge we haven’t encountered—and solved—with confidence.

Our company held the world record for vertical pumping, reaching 800 feet during the construction of Detroit’s Renaissance Center in 1976. We also set a world record for volume pumped, delivering 21,000 cubic yards in just 23 hours during the Detroit Metro Airport North Tunnel Project in 1999.

Most recently, our company provided the concrete pumping services for the construction of the Gordie Howe International Bridge which is the longest cable stayed bridge in North America.
